William Kunstler - Disturbing the universe

Becoming a successful lawyer is maybe one of the main aspects that lead high-school graduates to study law. Being the “most wanted profession” among law students and graduates, it is expected that it will bring fame and fortune while still keeping in line with the Law. Being a lawyer includes nevertheless many risks. Expectations about lawyers can be too high or too low, private interests must be defended, fairness must be the rule of the game, while a watchful eye is always turned on them. How to keep the right balance?

What are the most important values that guide a lawyer’s career? And how much is expected of them in delivering justice?

While trying to discover some answers, let’s look at reputed lawyers and young aspirants. The life of the famous American attorney William Kunstler is one of a kind; where else would his story be better discussed then in front of future Romanian lawyers. We will watch a movie about Kunstler’s career and invite established professionals to meet the new generation in an attempt to discover and understand human rights through the lenses of private interests. The defense rests its case!
