At Kabul Art School, the students have create a documentary about their hometown for the film class held by Polish director Jacek Szaranski,. After a first wave of fundamental misunderstandings and failed attempts, with the students trying to manipulate their subjects and explain contemporary issues themselves, they soon discover that the film can be a means of studying people in a more profound way and which can answer existential issues.
Slowly, the ideas become short stories seen through their own eyes, developed in different styles, and these fragments which are caught on camera also reflect an authentic portrait of contemporary Afghan society, different from the one shown in television
