One World Romania at School

One World Romania at School is the educational project of One World Romania Association, in partnership with the Romanian American Foundation and supported by CEZ Group, initiating events for high school teachers and students, proposing a new educational approach with the help of documentary film. The Film Clubs are an extracurricular activity organized by students for pupils. High school students have a videotape of documentary films, accompanied by additional information and activities adapted to each film. CIVIL SOCIETY PITCH is a unique initiative at East-European level, which aims to bring in contact filmmakers willing to expose a facet of the regional social, economic or political situation through art and activists immersed in this same reality. Certain films are worth having at home, on your shelf, to be able to re-watch them at anytime. In 2012, One World Romania started publishing DVDs with some of the best films from the festival - this collection now has 15 titles. Because supporting local filmmakers is part of our mission, five of them are Romanian films. The DVD’s can be found in the Cărturești and Humanitas bookshops, or online on the Eventbook site.
